Exploring curriculum and pedagogy

31 August, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm UTC+10

Pedagogy and curriculum are the core drivers of quality programs yet they all too often fade into the background where assumptions dominate and practice is taken for granted. Bring along your copy of the EYLF and get ready for a rich conversation to generate new ways of practice.

Early childhood pedagogical practice and the process of making effective curriculum decisions are worthy of deeper inquiry and critical reflective thinking. Understanding curriculum, which is becoming more sophisticated and multi-dimensional, and early childhood pedagogy is crucial for advocacy for children and their right to play. These sessions will offer educators an opportunity to explore a deeper understanding of the fundamental tenets of our practice.
