An introduction to autism and Positive Behaviour Support

This in-depth one-day seminar presented by ASPECT will focus on understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), identifying characteristics and how it presents in children. Early childhood professionals will also learn how to support children with ASD and families in their care.

The workshop will also cover principles and practical applications of Positive Behaviour Support, a strengths based, proactive and evidence based approach to managing challenging behaviours in children and people on the autism spectrum. This workshop will provide confidence in creating an autism friendly environment, implementing an individual behaviour support plan and response plan for managing challenging behaviour.
