Friend Street Kindergarten is a non profit community kindergarten managed by a volunteer parent committee. Friend Street Kindergarten is a welcoming, community-centred kindergarten with a proud history dating back to 1952. We are passionate about creating a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play. Our programs celebrate children's curiosity, creativity, individuality and growing independence, with opportunities to explore, discover and connect with the natural world. We value meaningful relationships with children and families, the dedication and collaboration of our educators, and the special sense of community that makes Friend Street such a valued place for families to begin their learning journey. Friend Street Kindergarten is committed to keeping all children safe and upholding Victoria’s Child Safe Standards. We believe that every child has the right to feel safe and be safe at all times.
