About the Centre/Service
South Kingsville Preschool is a sessional, stand alone, community-based kindergarten which offers a specialised early learning curriculum in a family friendly environment. South Kingsville Preschool values family engagement and community connections and is based in a well-established Community Centre.
The kindergarten has a strong focus on sustainability and the benefits of nature play. The successful candidate will believe in the educational and development power of a play based and emergent curriculum. They will also believe in the core principle of respect and care for people and for the world.

Description
We seek a Cert 111 or Diploma Qualified early childhood educator to join our three-year-old program.
The role will be 14 hours over a 2-day week (Mon 8am - 4:15pm and Fri 9:30am - 4:15pm). This is an 18 month maternity leave position. It is paid at a VECTEA (2020) Award salary. The level will depend on qualifications and experience.
There may be opportunities for more hours.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with children to gain insights into their strengths, interests, skills, and knowledge.
- Contribute to the planning cycle and record keeping of the children.
- Work together with colleagues to provide safe, supportive, inclusive, and educationally stimulating environments for all children.
Qualifications
Qualifications & experience
- Certificate 3 or Diploma Early Childhood qualification approved or recognised by ACECQA
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Up-to-date First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training.
- Sound knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, Child Protection, Child Safe Standards and Regulations and law
- You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
