About the Centre/Service Diamond Hills Preschool (DHPS) is a community-based kinder run by a volunteer parent committee. Our experienced and long serving teaching team provide a warm, creative and stimulating environment for children. With a play orientated approach that is designed to challenge and appeal to the individual abilities and interests of each child, we encourage children to be active participants in their learning. At our preschool we include animals within our Program, as well as other opportunities such as the Stephanie Alexander Program, and The Resilience Project. Since 1986, Diamond Hills Preschool has worked with local children and families in the Diamond Valley and Nillumbik area and is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards. Throughout 2023, we have observed with the children, the building of our brand new, purpose built educational space and expansive outdoor learning area that is now complete.

Description DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Educator who is passionate about early childhood education and learning through play.  A successful application will work with our 4 Year Old Teacher in our brand new kinder building! A successful applicant will:
  • Have the ability to support the continued implementation of a stimulating and positive learning environment to encourage and support children's development.
  • Be committed to providing high quality care and education to all children in a safe, nurturing, play based learning environment.
  • Have the ability to contribute to the planning cycle, observe and document children's learning with reference to the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Show initiative and manage time effectively.
  • Form and maintain warm, caring and respectful relationships with children, families and staff.
   
Qualifications A Diploma Qualified Educator or Certificate III Educator are encouraged to apply.
