About our Kinder
Box Hill South Pre School is a warm and inviting, not for profit Community Kindergarten. We offer an exciting, engaging and stimulating play-based program delivered by enthusiastic and passionate educators for sessional 3YO and 4YO groups.
Our purpose-built kindergarten is situated in a peaceful and natural setting and shares the wonderful facilities of Box Hill South Family Centre.
Our large, bright playroom and spacious outdoor play area allow every child the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential, and the warm and caring environment created by our dedicated teaching team.

Description
About the Role
Box Hill South Pre School is looking for a Diploma qualified kindergarten educator to fill a permanent part time role commencing in 2025 in our 3-year-old group.
Are you a recent graduate with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or working towards their Masters in Early Childhood Education?
Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing and high-quality sessional kindergarten environment? We want you to be a part of our team!
Potential for Casual/Relief Work on Additional Days, with Opportunities for Increased Hours and Days in 2025!
Specific hours are:
- 14 hrs per week which consists of 11 hrs contact time and 3 hrs non-contact time.
- Session times are 8.30-2.30m on Monday and Friday
- Non-contact before and after the sessions for set up and pack down.
- Additional non-contact time of 1hr is to be completed at a mutually agreeable day and time.
- 2hr per term for staff meetings
Qualifications
To be successful, you need to:
- Demonstrate experience in early childhood education (including in a sessional kindergarten) and working in a small and supportive team environment.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrate understanding of VEYLDF, and active contribution in the implementation of the QIP.
- Demonstrate ability to contribute to planning and delivering a high-quality educational program. Have current working with children check and police check, mandatory reporting/ child protection.
- Current first aid, asthma, anaphylaxis and CPR.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Working toward their Masters in Early Childhood Education
