About the Centre/Service
Darebin Childcare and Kindergarten is dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Chef/Cook to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of the children in our care.

Description
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary requirements and food safety standards.
- Plan menus that accommodate various food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Washing of all dishes
- Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with childcare educators to create a positive mealtime experience.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Current First Aid certification, including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training.
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a Working with Children’s Check.
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Food safety Supervisor Certificate
- Strong understanding of food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Must have the right to work in Australia.

This role is part-time hours and 5 days per week with a set rostered shift the successful applicant needs to be available for shifts anywhere between 7.00am and 2.30pm
