Position Details
Summerhill Park Kindergarten is a community-based not-for-profit organisation run by our parent-led volunteer Committee of Management in conjunction with a team of qualified educators and teachers. Established in 1958, we cater for 50 families – offering kindergarten programs for 4-year and 3-year-olds – alongside the picturesque Summerhill Park in the leafy suburb of Glen Iris (please note in 2027 we will temporarily relocate to Solway Hall due to renovations). We are proud of our community kindergarten history and strong record of cultivating warm and long-lasting relationships with our families and community and are seeking a similarly committed and experienced educator to join our long-standing team of teachers and educators. We believe children are at the heart of our community, and we cultivate relationships with the wider community as well as nurturing relationships between the children, parents and staff. This includes nature-play and excursions to our local park, nature trails, and Ashburton High St village, and regular family-fundraisers through the year. Summerhill Park Kindergarten is committed to Child Safety and we have policies in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children.
