About the Centre/Service Research Preschool is a not for profit, community run preschool located in a leafy, outer north- eastern suburb of Melbourne. We have been providing child educational services to our local community since 1965. We offer three and four year old programs and believe that children learn best through play in a safe, secure and supported environment. Through play, each child is able to discover, explore, create, improvise, problem solve and imagine. Our environment is designed to be a place for development, where opportunities are provided for children to socialise, develop respect, empathy and to build upon and promote self-esteem. We have one of the largest playgrounds in our shire, an experienced and dedicated team, inclusive and supportive and we are backed up by a great Committee of Management. Work Days of the Role Wednesday

Description We are seeking applicants for an Early Childhood Teacher for our three-year-old group program.  The successful candidate will work closely alongside the four-year-old Kindergarten Educator and other staff to deliver a high-quality educational program for the children at Research Preschool. The position commences in Term 1 2025 and is expected to be ongoing. Role Objectives:  Develop and provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate educational program (based on an approved curriculum framework) for the children at Research Pre-School in consultation with the Committee of Management (employer), other staff, and the parents of children attending Research Pre-School. Always operate in a professional manner and ensure that the Pre-School meets the requirements of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) Victorian Kindergarten Policy, Procedures and Funding criteria; Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010; Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 and functions in line with approved policies, procedures and the Quality Improvement Plan of Research Pre-School.
Qualifications Qualifications suitable for an Early Childhood Teacher under the Education and Care Services National Law. Education and Care Services National Regulations and the DET Kindergarten Funding Guide.
