About the Centre/Service
North Hamilton Kindergarten is a highly-regarded kindergarten located in Hamilton, Victoria. It is situated on the lands of the Gunditjmara people and is operated by Combined Preschools of Southern Grampians. It is a 33-place community kindergarten, delivering two mixed-age kindergarten programs.
Our motto is “Growing Happy Kids” and our highly experienced and dedicated educators strive to develop rich and engaging programs that reflect the individual interests for all our children, ultimately building their confidence, resilience and ability to face new challenges in readiness for their next step into a formal education at school.
We provide an indoor and outdoor environment that is inclusive and offers opportunity whilst nurturing the individual strengths and needs of the child.

Work Days of the Role
Currently Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (but full-time negotiable)
Hours of Work of the Role
Minimum 27 hours per week. Full-time negotiable.
Description
We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team, commencing in 2025.
You will be responsible for developing and providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate, educational program for the children at the service in consultation with a team of staff and the parents of the children attending the service. Your program will be culturally respectful, inclusive of all abilities and appropriate to the individual developmental needs and interests of the children.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will:
- be VIT registered
- have relevant qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher and a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate is required (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training).

• Have a sound understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards, including Child Safe Standards governing the operation of children’s services
• Have the ability to develop, document and implement a high quality, developmentally appropriate education program for kindergarten children in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Be committed to ongoing professional learning.
• Have well developed leadership and self-motivation skills and can work as an effective and collaborative team leader.
• Have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
