About the Centre/Service Kinglake Ranges Children’s Centre is an ‘Excellent’ rated early childhood education and care centre with a difference. Located on spectacular Taungurung Country with bush kinder sites on Wurundjeri country in the Kinglake Ranges – Melbourne’s Outer Northern Suburbs, we have a strong focus on nature and risk supported pedagogy delivered through natural environments with neuroscience inspired practise. We believe every person has a unique set of basic human life needs which we implement via the Phoenix Cups Framework. We make every effort to tailor our interactions as to be cup filling for each individual thereby enhancing overall wellbeing, sense of comfort, security and belonging. We boast a renowned bush kinder program which has opened up opportunities to be nationally recognised as an exemplary example of nature pedagogy and have featured in various publications and conference presentations. This nature connection journey has allowed us to expand our practices at the centre through indoor outdoor programs making the most of our stunning ½ acre outdoor education space, to foster the growth and development of children of our community in an environment full of natural beauty and excitement.
