About the Centre/Service Wingate Avenue Children’s Co-operative is a small not-for-profit service located within the Ascot Vale housing estate. Work Days of the Role Monday to Friday
Hours of Work of the Role 38 hours per week plus monthly RDO
Description About the role We are recruiting for an Early Childhood Teacher within our service. The role is permanent and full time, commencing from February 2025. You will be supported by qualified educators, a strong teaching team and a hands-on leadership team. Qualifications and experience
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and supporting a team to provide high quality interactions and inclusive practices
  • Ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational program reflecting the diverse nature of the service, local and wider community, based on curriculum frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in the education and care of children aged 3-5 years.
  • Ability to work with children, families and colleagues in a warm and respectful manner.
  • Clear understanding of Child Safe Standards and Mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive practices that support all children to effectively engage within the kindergarten class, including supporting children and their families with additional needs.
  • Prior experience with transition reports, Kindergarten funding and Inclusion support funding preferable, but not mandatory.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent as recognised by ACECQA.
  • Must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and continue to renew/maintain the registration during employment.
