Doncaster East Preschool is a community run kindergarten which offers a supportive, positive and stimulating educational program for preschool age children. Managed by a volunteer Committee of Management, our qualified and experienced staff provide a play based program which promotes confidence, curiosity, and cooperation.

Description
An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and enthusiastic kindergarten teacher to join our dedicated teaching team at Doncaster East Preschool as the 4YO Kindergarten Teacher for a fixed term contract role starting in January 2025. This is a long service leave cover position for Term 1 only.
- This part time role involves 22.5 hours (15 contact, 7.5 non-contact) a week across three days.
- Session times are: Mondays 1-5pm, Wednesdays (8:30am-2pm) and Fridays (8:30am-2pm).
- The successful candidate will be able teach in a collaborative and cooperative manner and form positive partnerships with children, families, staff and the wider community.
- We require someone who has a strong emphasis on play based learning and is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children.
- Whilst the position is to start at the beginning of Term 1, 2025, we would welcome and encourage, the successful candidate to attend one or two sessions prior to the end of the year to begin building relationships within our kinder community.
Qualifications
The successful applicant must hold an approved Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as assessed by ACECQA), be VIT registered and must also have Approved First Aid, Child Protection Mandatory Reporting and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training.
