About the Centre/Service
CDPS is a community-run, not-for-profit Kindergarten. We provide ACECQA Exceeding Rated 3 and 4 year old sessional Kindergarten programs. Located on the edge of community parklands, we provide a unique and longstanding service within the Surrey Hills community. Our 4YO Program is a rotational and made up of 3 rotational groups where each group attends two days of 7.5 hours of Kindergarten per week.
Work Days of the Role
Teaching days are 8.00am to 5.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays (session times 8.30 to 4.00pm) with remaining non-contact hours to be carried out on days/times be negotiated with the successful candidate

Description
CDPS is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team and community. This is a fixed-term, part-time role commencing in January 2025 and concluding in December 2025 with opportunity to continue in 2026 and beyond.
You will work in a team with long standing and experienced 3 Year Old Teacher and caring educators who are passionate about creating a warm and enriching program.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA recognised equivalent
Current child protection training

• Commitment to building responsive, equitable and respectful relationships with children, families, colleagues and community
• Experience designing and implementing inspiring and inclusive play-based programs and respectfully and responsively embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in all aspects of the curriculum
• Commitment to contributing to a child safe organisation that recognises and values the diverse backgrounds of all children, families, and the local community
• Ability to support our 4 year old students in readiness for primary school
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Desirable: Experience teaching in sessional community Kindergarten
