About the Centre/Service
Bentleigh West Kindergarten Inc. (BWK) is a community-managed Kindergarten with an inclusive and supportive environment for 3 and 4 year old children to learn, grow, develop and explore utilising a play based curriculum, that supports our children's creative, imaginative, active and stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors.
BWK’s philosophy is aligned with the ‘Walker Learning Approach’, with a program designed to allow children to make choices, challenge their thinking, scaffold their learning and development and that uses a range of intentional teaching areas to facilitate learning and exploring their world through play.
BWK prides itself as being a parent-run Kindergarten and our families play an active role in the overall management of the Kinder.
Currently BWK offers one 3YO program (one full day per week) and two 4 Year Old programs (two full days per week each).

Description
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic qualified Diploma Educator to join our staff for our 3 Year Old group on a Monday for a full day from 8am-4:30pm, plus a 1 hour lunch cover and planning time on another day, ideally Thursday. There is also the option of casual relief midweek should it be of interest. Our ideal candidate is an Educator who can work cooperatively and professionally as a member of our friendly team to assist in the provision of a high quality program for children in their care.
The successful candidate will have experience in a sessional kindergarten environment, with experience in a play-based learning environment and a commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children.

Qualifications
Diploma qualified however, we could also employ Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (previously ‘Children’s Services’) for the Educator role
