About the Centre/Service

Kangaroo Ground Pre-School is a community-run, not-for-profit sessional kindergarten offering a play-based program for 3- and 4-year-olds. Alongside our on-site program, we run an off-site Bush Block experience, an (almost) all-weather outdoor session where children build connection to Country through nature play, considered risk-taking, fire cooking, tree climbing and fresh air. If you want a role where curiosity, mud, and real relationships with families are part of the job description, we'd love to hear from you. We're a Committee of Management operated service, run by parents of our kinder families. We share a site with Kangaroo Ground Primary School and enjoy a close relationship with the school community — including shared access to before/after school care and regular visits to the school yard. Embedded in everything we do is an acknowledgement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of the land where we play and learn. We are just 10 minutes from Eltham and Diamond Creek.
