About the Centre/Service Wonnai Pre-School is a three and four year old sessional kindergarten located in leafy Langwarrin. Our staff consists of eight educators. We have a wonderfully supportive parent run Committee of Management. We believe in providing children with a challenging, engaging and stimulating learning environment and strongly value the importance of play based programs in early childhood. Wonnai Preschool is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.
Work Days of the Role Position begins Term 1, 2023: Work days are as follows - Tuesday 8:00am-11:00am, Thursday 1:30pm-4:30pm and Friday 1:30pm-4:30pm.
Hours of Work of the Role 2023 – 13.5 hours (9 hours contact & 4.5 hours non contact)

Wonnai Preschool is seeking committed, motivated and nurturing Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team. We have a strong emphasis on supporting and developing relationships between the child, family, staff and wider community. The Kindergarten is run by a volunteer Committee of Management and has been assessed as "Exceeding the National Standards". The staff team is passionate about the education and care of children and seeks a like-minded teacher to provide a high quality program for one group of 3 year old children.


The position is part time working 13.5 hours a week. Contact hours are across three days a week, with session times Tuesday 8:00am-11:00am, Thursday 1:30pm-4:30pm and Friday 1:30pm-4:30pm, plus 4.5 additional non-contact/planning hours.

The role commences at the beginning of 2023.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a high quality, vibrant program and will demonstrate a willingness to create a happy, safe, individualised and immersive learning environment.

  • A minimum Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications)
  • A current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) card
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the VEYLDF, EYLF, NQS and planning cycle
  • Child safe training (DEECD online module as a minimum)
  • Willingness/ability to be able to work additional hours as required
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills
