About the Centre/Service Perry St is a 50 place community based child care centre and integrated kindergarten. It is situated in Fairfield. We are a parent managed centre with a not-for-profit philosophy. Work Days of the Role Full time
Hours of Work of the Role 38 hrs - 9 day fortnight RDO
Description Your role will be to work as part of a teaching team alongside the 4 year old teacher and diploma educator in a 3 and 4 year old  long day kindergarten program. This is a good opportunity for a new graduate or a person working towards a teacher qualification to be mentored . You will work with the teachers and educators program planning, documenting children's learning and setting the learning environment. Perry St uses multiple theories of learning and has a strong focus on relationships, nature pedagogy and sustainability. You will be encouraged and supported to plan and implement meaningful and stimulating learning programs and projects that reflect Perry st community philosophies and values. Perry St has large outdoor play spaces, specifically designed for each age group and lovely green, shady trees. We are within walking distance of Darebin park-lands. Qualifications Must have achieved or be working towards an ACECQA approved teacher qualification. New graduates encouraged to apply. In house teacher mentoring for provisionally registered teachers available. Must be professional, enthusiastic about early childhood education and be genuinely interested in young children's learning and development.
