Work Days of the Role Monday & Tuesday

Description This position is for the role of Assistant Educator in our Extended Hours Program. This is a part time position commencing on July 12, 2021. The position is for 8 hours per week working Mondays 11:30am – 3:30pm and Tuesdays 11:30am – 3:30pm. Hours may increase in 2022.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Educator with a Diploma of Children’s Services or Certificate III in Children’s Services. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, who will work cooperatively as a member of the team. The Assistant Educator is responsible to the Early Childhood Educator on a day-to-day basis for assisting in the implementation and delivery of the Extended Hours Program. Further, the applicant will work with the Educational Leader to ensure professional standards are met and development goals achieved.  We are looking for a self-motivated person who takes direction as well as showing initiative in encouraging the imagination, diversity, creativity and exploration of the children they are leading. The key skills we are looking for are:    - Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and the committee of management; and -Ability to work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, parents, staff and the committee of management. -Experience in an Early Childhood setting is preferred.
