About the Centre/Service Sunrise Kindergarten and Long daycare are looking for a skilled, motivated, caring and enthusiastic person to work us, we run an Integrated Kindergarten Program Long daycare. We have been established since 1994. Sunrise Kindergarten & Long day care provides a kinder and childcare program for children from 3 to 5 years of age with a max of 22 children per day. Sunrise Kindergarten and long daycare follows a Neo-Humanist Philosophy, which fosters meditation & yoga for children and staff. We are lucky enough to explore our local park lands daily, by going on 2-3 hour adventures. The centre is situated in North Fitzroy, close to public transport. Recognizing the effect of diet on mind and behavior as well as on the growth of the body we are a vegetarian Center, no egg, mushroom, garlic, onion. Work Days of the Role Monday - 6 hours, Wednesday - 8 hours and Friday - 4-6 hours
Hours of Work of the Role 18 - 20 hours per week plus (1/2 unpaid break each day)
Description We are currently seeking a dedicated educator to support the inclusion of children at our preschool for 18 - 20 hours a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The position commencing ASAP till  May 2020 and the flexibility to possibility of extending till Dec. 2020 We’re looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic educator to join a highly motivated team, providing fun and educational programs and assist the staff to implement the program for all the children. As a passionate early childhood professional you will be committed to providing the highest quality of care within a supportive and rewarding environment and someone who is passionate about making a difference for our children and within the community and having the flexibility of working casual hours. The role includes supporting using a range of strategies to support the children's inclusion indoor,  outdoor play and our park adventures.

Qualifications
  • ACECQA approved early childhood qualification Certificate III,
  • Qualifications and/or experience in special education;
  • Current working with children check
  • National Police Check
  • Child protection training;
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with special needs in an early childhood setting;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum one year experience working support for the inclusion of children.
  • To be eligible for employment you must have appropriate Australian or New Zealand work rights.
