Description Full time assistant educator position, providing care & education to children in Prahran, Windsor and Malvern. Please view the below documents for this position: Working as part of our dynamic and dedicated team, you will provide high quality care by planning, implementing and evaluating play and learning experiences for children in consultation with families and other educators. We strive to provide environments, interactions and programs that nurture, stimulate and guide each child’s development. We provide high quality care and education including long day care, occasional care and kindergarten services. Stonnington has three Council-owned and operated Early Years Centres for children aged three months to five years:
  • Hornbrook Children's Centre in Windsor
  • Princess Close Childcare Centre in Prahran
  • Winter Street Occasional Care Centre in Malvern
This is a full time position covering parental leave, with an annual salary of $62,430 to $66,661 per annum + 10% superannuation. This is a rate of $31 to $33 per hour. To be successful you will have a Certificate III in Early Years and the demonstrate ability to effectively work with others. Additionally you have a demonstrated knowledge of the relevant State and Federal policies, regulations and standards and compliance requirements for Early Years Services. A demonstrate a passion for working with children and families, understanding best practices relating to equity, inclusiveness, indigenous perspectives and sustainable practices within an Early Childhood setting are also necessary, along with:
  • Current and Valid Working with Children Check
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Experience in Early Childhood Development and Programming
