About the Centre/Service TRY Australia is an independent, non-denominational not-for-profit social enterprise focused on giving young people, individuals and families opportunities to reach their potential. Our social businesses and programs cover three main areas: promoting universal access to early learning and childcare, providing accredited youth mentoring and training, and creating opportunities for employment pathways. Timboon Children's Centre is located in the Corangamite Shire. The Centre caters for up to 33 children daily in 2 rooms. Long day care WE CATER FOR 6 weeks old infants to 6 years old children (up to school-starting age) EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS We offer an emergent curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework Programs are developed to meet the individual needs of children. We provide a stimulating and caring environment for infants and children. EDUCATORS AND EXPERTISE Qualified staff with early-childhood training Child-to-staff ratio meet the National Quality Standards. OUR PROGRAMS & UNIQUENESS Read all about our Centre here. The successful person will be:
  • Passionate about the early years care, development and education of children.
  • Ability to show an understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning and Development Framework
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications
  • Certificate III Education and Care (Early Childhood)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current up to date first aid training
  • Asthma training
  • Anaphylaxis Training

Additional Requirements TRY Australia works with children, youth and vulnerable people and requires all staff to undertake a Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check, prior to commencement, and maintain these throughout their employment.
