About the Centre/Service Hunt Community Childcare Centre is a beautiful, 44 place long day care setting, catering for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are a not for profit, community owned centre that has been operating for over 30 years and are managed by a volunteer parent Committee of Management who collaborate with and support the management team to ensure the successful running of the centre. We have a wonderful team of qualified educators who teach across our 4 rooms, many of whom have been with us for long tenures. We have large, dedicated outdoor areas for our children to play and explore, with a strong focus on natural elements. We follow the Reggio Emilia approach, focusing on learning through play, valuing it as one of the main ways in which children learn and develop. In 2021 we introduced a 4-year-old Funded Kinder Program and have plans to run 3-year-old Funded Kinder in 2022. Based in Brighton, we are close to local shops, transport connections, schools and just a short walk away from the beach. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Centre Director, who shares our community minded values, and family-centric approach, to join a small, not for profit, community centre in a beautiful area.
