About the organisation:
A self-funded, not-for-profit, community-oriented Child Care Centre located in Doncaster East and has been in operation since 1985. This exceeding service offers high quality long day care services and are licensed to educate up to 46 children daily (from 6 months to 5 years old), including a funded Kindergarten program.
Their aim is to provide high quality care for the children in a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. They strive for excellence in Early Childhood Education by providing enriching and stimulating activities through play-based learning and have been rated “Exceeding” in all areas of the National Quality Standards.
About the Role-
The service is currently seeking someone with experience and a passion for Early Childhood Education to take on the role of Centre Director and manage the daily operations of the Centre on behalf of the Parent Committee of Management.
As Centre Director you will be responsible for maintaining a safe physical environment for staff and children. You will be managing a team of experienced and established educators to meet all the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and NQS requirements.
Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong and supportive relationships with families and staff.

- Diploma of Children’s Services (or equivalent)
- Experience in Child Care Centre management
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
- Comprehensive knowledge of EYLF and NQS
- A current police check (no more than 6 months old)
- Employment Working with Children’s Check
- A current level two first-aid certificate, anaphylaxis and CPR.
- Ability to manage and oversee all aspects of a Centre’s daily operations and HR processes
- Working knowledge of business and financial processes and ability to manage a complex budget
- Ability to lead and develop a team of professional educators to continually deliver enriching and age appropriate education programs
- Ability to create and maintain harmonious working relationships with educators and parents through being a positive role model, motivating others, team building and conflict resolution
- Ability to work openly and consultatively with the Parent Committee of Management and local authorities
