Description Search Title – Role: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Short Description: Rare opportunity in Early Years sector to join well established organisation. • Hands on Strategic Leadership Role • Kindergarten Early Years Manager • Not for Profit Organisation Details: Goulburn Region Preschool Association Inc. (GRPSA) is seeking a highly driven CEO to lead and develop the commercial and strategic direction of the Organisation. GRPSA is a not-for-profit Kindergarten Early Years Management organisation funded by the State Government managing 15 centres offering a variety of care and education. Kindergarten Early Years Management reduces the administrative pressures on volunteer parent committees by handling the staffing, licensing requirements and financial responsibilities associated with managing a kindergarten. The CEO is responsible to the Board of GRPSA for the effective and efficient execution of all operational aspects of the organisation within the relevant statutory requirements and strategic directions of the Board. This includes: • Preparation of budgets for the consideration of the Board and recommending major policy changes and developments. • Monitoring and directing overall operations to ensure transparent, accountable and sustainable financial management. • Directing the preparation, communication, and execution of strategic and operating objectives, plans and programs. • Ensuring that effective governance systems are in place to support transparent decisionmaking processes and management systems. • Directing and motivating the team in the achievement of agreed goals and standards. • Acting as the chief spokesperson for the organisation to ensure that communities and families are being responded to and engaged. To apply, you must have experience with the following: • Sound leadership skills and a proven record of effective staff management. • Display proven ability to formulate and manage budgets and the preparation of accurate financial reporting for an appropriate level of performance analysis. • Ability to review, update and implement policy consistent with strategy. • An interest in early childhood and the wellbeing of all children. • Understanding of the EYM policies and frameworks, including the National Quality Standards, Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law, and Victorian Childrens Services Regulations and Law. • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with external stakeholders, the Board and management team. • Excellent administrative, computer and time management skills. Mandatory Requirements: • National Police Check • ASIC Clearances: national bankruptcy, personal name extract • Working with Children Check • Mandatory Reporting • Assessment as a fit and proper person Typical Experience: This position would require over 10 years of general experience in all aspects of management at a senior level including functional areas such as Administration, HR, Marketing and Finance and coordination of multifunctional activities. Tertiary qualifications not required but viewed favourably.
