About the Centre/Service Ellie V Pullin Preschool is located in an idyllic bushland setting backing onto Monterey Bush Park Reserve in Ringwood North. EVP is a committee managed, not for profit service, delivering sessional 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten as well as extended after hours care. Our philosophy focuses on a child led, play based curriculum, where respectful relationships are created, and partnerships with families, educators and the local community are promoted to achieve positive learning outcomes for all children. In 2018 we achieved an Exceeding rating in all 7 areas of the National Quality Framework by the Department of Education and Training.

Description We are looking to employ a Certificate 3 qualified educator to work with our 3-year-old group. The assistant educator role provides essential support to our teacher, contributing to the educational program and planning, actively supporting every child to participate in the program, and ensuring the children’s interests are promoted. We are looking for someone who is conscientious, flexible, enthusiastic, and a collaborative team member. Applicants must have experience in implementing effective health and hygiene practices, including meeting all early childhood regulations relating to medical management plans, risk management plans, policies, and procedures. We have a small, dedicated team of educators, who support one another and would love to find someone just as passionate and dedicated, with a natural desire to share ideas with colleagues. Employment conditions are in accordance with the industry VECTEA agreement, with continued professional support and training throughout the year. In addition to standard weekly hours we hold two paid whole team meetings per term which all staff are requested to attend.

Additional Requirements Successful applicants will have: - Experience working within a kindergarten or long day care environment - Have excellent communication skills, and be able to form positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues - Have a good understanding of the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks, National Quality Standards and National Regulations - Current First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Police check - Working with Children’s check - Knowledge of the Child Safe standards
