Description The role of the Consultant is to continue to champion good early childhood education and care by working with organisations and individuals in the Early Childhood sector to improve their practice and service effectiveness. The Consultant will be a committed and self-motivated individual with the ability to build strong working relationships with their clients and respond flexibly to their needs. They will engage with a portfolio of clients to advise, coach and support them through various projects. The Consultant will travel to regional Victoria on a regular basis, including overnight stays. This opportunity would suit an experienced professional living outside metropolitan Melbourne who is willing and able to travel at least fortnightly. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly across the week to meet the needs of each client. The majority of the work is conducted during term time. Initially the roles are part time, offered on a fixed term or casual basis until late term four 2021. We are looking for someone who is able to commit to our clients until the end of 2021 at a minimum. It is likely there will be a full time, part time or casual ongoing role(s) from term one 2022. - Bachelor level qualification in Early Childhood or other relevant field. Post graduate qualification preferred.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment preferred
- Registered as an Early Childhood Teacher in Victoria

Additional Requirements Significant current experience in the Early Childhood sector in a senior leadership role Demonstrated understanding of leadership in early childhood, with the ability to recognise the challenges faced by early years leaders, managers and owners Working knowledge of the regulatory and legislative environment for the Early Childhood sector, as well as an understanding of good practice and current developments in the sector Skilled facilitator, mentor and coach, able to work at individual, group and organisational level. Skilled consultant, able to effectively establish organisational needs and develop appropriate responses to address identified needs. Able to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs.
