About the Centre/Service The Centre is a long day care service incorporating a 3-year-old pre-kinder program and a funded 4-year-old kinder program, providing both full time and part time places for up to 44 children per day. TREL was established as a community-based, non-profit child care centre, run entirely by a committee of parents, truly a community resource. Complete care is provided for children 0-6 years. We are proud to be rated as exceeding in all seven national quality standards. Our dynamic play-based program is well resourced with high-quality equipment. Our friendly and supportive team atmosphere makes coming to work a pleasure. We are active and positively perceived in our local community; establishing rewarding relationships with our children and their families. The team is enthusiastically encouraged to explore professional interests by our Director and parent Committee of Management. We encourage professional development, training and further study.
Work Days of the Role Monday to Friday

Description In this role, you will bring your passion for working with children to our support team to provide quality education and care services. As a member of our early learning program, you will be required to assist in the planning, implementation, assessment and review of high quality and diverse educational program and actively support every child to participate in the program. You will be required to document children’s learning, working in partnership with families and community ensuring all practices reflect the philosophy, policies and procedures of TREL. As an educator, you are expected to be an active team member of a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care to children. This includes: • Developing strong relationships with children at TREL; • Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families and the community; • Implementing the policies and associated procedures of TREL at all times; and • Working with other educators/staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of TREL’s operations. • Plan an engaging learning program for children using a solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Qualifications An approved Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of employment in long day care • Dedication, motivation and excellent communication and writing skills • Experience in providing evidence-based quality early years programs and documenting learning records • A working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, The National Quality Standards and the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework
