Join us to spark curious, creative & confident children

... as a Diploma Educator in our busy casual relief team  - working across a group of 18  friendly kindergartens centred around Mill Park and surrounding suburbs

What will I do?

  • Relieve teachers and educators on leave
  • Help out with project and SRF work
  • Combine with a part-time position - opportunities in Thomastown, Mernda, Epping, Beveridge, Heidelberg and Doncaster
  • Learn from different teachers and groups
  • 10 weeks leave per year over term and summer breaks – VECTEA conditions
  • Flexibility like an agency staff, but you are a valued part of the Sparkways team
  • Support from a dedicated Relief Team Manager and Coordinator
You will work across a portfolio of kindergartens in the northern suburbs, and relieve Educators and Teachers who are not able to work, ensuring that we do not have to close a session and disappoint our children and families. We would love to hear from you if….

  • You are a diploma qualified Preschool Educator, or
  • ECT degree student, with 30% of your units completed, or
  • Cert III Educator actively working towards Diploma
  • You want to work one to five days per week
  • You are available to start work by 8.15 am if needed for an early session
  • You are able to travel to different kindergartens each morning - you choose which kindergartens you are available for
  • You have experience with sessional kinder, or the kinder room in long day care
  • People describe you as dependable, confident, competent, positive and energetic
  • You love working with children, and are eager to work with different groups, educators and teachers
