About the Centre/Service

Sunrise Kindergarten and Long daycare are looking for a skilled, motivated, caring and enthusiastic person to work us, we run an Integrated Kindergarten Program Long daycare. We have been established since 1994.

Sunrise Kindergarten & Long day care provides a kinder and childcare program for children from 3 to 5 years of age with a max of 22 children per day.

The center is situated in North Fitzroy, close to public transport.

Sunrise preschool follows a Neo-Humanist Philosophy, which fosters meditation & yoga for children and staff. We are lucky enough to explore our local parklands daily, by going on 2-3 hour adventures.

Recognizing the effect of diet on mind and behavior as well as on the growth of the body we are a vegetarian Centre, no egg, mushroom, garlic, onion.

Work Days of the Role Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the opportunity to pick up additional casual hours and during school holidays

Sunrise Preschool and long day care are seeking applications for Qualified Co- Educator to embrace working in a team and alongside  Teachers and Room Leaders in our Integrated Kindergarten program and long day care setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child’s development, ages 3-5 years and bring fresh and innovative ideas to the program.

For this role we also expect you will have:

  • An ECEC Diploma qualification or equivalent as approved by ACECQA
  • 12 months’ experience (preferred) working in an early childhood setting
  • Practical working knowledge and application of the NQF, EYLF, and VEYLDF
  • Demonstrated ability to implement programs that are inclusive and responsive to the interests, strengths and learning needs of individual children
  • Proven ability to engage in critical reflection on your performance and practice
  • Demonstrated capacity to work in a team.

Qualifications

Please provide:

  • a one-page cover letter addressing the selection criteria and
  • your resume.
  • ACECQA approved early childhood qualification Certificate III,
  • Qualifications and/or experience in special education;
  • Current working with children check
  • National Police Check
  • Child protection training;
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with special needs in an early childhood setting;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum one year experience working support for the inclusion of children.
  • To be eligible for employment you must have appropriate Australian or New Zealand work rights.
