The roleWe currently have Diploma Qualified Senior Educator position available to join the Early Years team. Reporting to the Education and Care Leader, your role is to:
  • Support the group and individual child’s learning by providing play-based experiences.
  • Take regular observations, plan, implement experience and evaluate to ensure children continue to be given opportunities to expand their curiosity and interests.
  • Communicate effectively and creatively with families on a regular basis.
Please note: roles may relocate to any one of Council’s Family and Children’s Centres (Carrum, Parkdale or Edithvale) with notice, in line with our Enterprise Agreement conditions. About youThe ideal candidate will:
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with and supervising children.
  • Have a strong commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Understand the expectations of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
  • Minimum Diploma qualification (Diploma in Children’s Services) in accordance with the relevant legislation associated with Early Years Care and Education
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate including: Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management and CPR Certificate
