The role We currently have Diploma Qualified Senior Educator position available to join the Early Years team. Reporting to the Education and Care Leader, your role is to:
  • Support the group and individual child’s learning by providing play-based experiences.
  • Take regular observations, plan, implement experience and evaluate to ensure children continue to be given opportunities to expand their curiosity and interests.
  • Communicate effectively and creatively with families on a regular basis.
Please note: roles may relocate to any one of Council’s Family and Children’s Centres (Carrum, Parkdale or Edithvale) with notice, in line with our Enterprise Agreement conditions.   About you The ideal candidate will:
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working with and supervising children.
  • Have a strong commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Understand the expectations of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
  • Minimum Diploma qualification (Diploma in Children’s Services) in accordance with the relevant legislation associated with Early Years Care and Education
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate including: Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management and CPR Certificate
