About the Centre/Service Waterfall Gully Preschool is an innovative kindergarten which demonstrates Exceeding practice in all seven areas of the National Quality Framework. We consider ourselves leaders in the field of Early Childhood with a focus on Sustainability and Health & Wellbeing and are looking for a Director who can lead our team on our next journey towards Excellence.
Work Days of the Role to be negotiated
Hours of Work of the Role 19 hours per week
Description The role of Director is vital to ensure our dedicated team of teachers are supported, valued, nurtured and encouraged. We are a 178 place service offering three and four year old kindergarten with 17 staff. The Director would be working with teachers, support staff, the MP Shire and the volunteer Committee of Management. Skills required for this role would include:

  • Professionalism
  • High level computer skills including website maintenance
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Excellent knowledge of Early Childhood guiding Framework
  • Extensive experience in the field of Early Childhood
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff
  • Be available to relieve teachers in the rooms when required
  • Have availability to attend evening meetings.
Our Director should be passionate about quality in Early Childhood, determined and driven to work  with staff to encourage them to be the best they can be, should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sustainable practice and someone who sees the value of community.
Qualifications All applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education, have a current VIT card, first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training or be prepared to obtain the appropriate training prior to commencement date. All salaries are based upon the VECTEA 2016.
