About the Centre/Service Mount Pleasant Kindergarten is a contemporary kindergarten located in Nunawading, rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards. Our wonderful team is committed to providing the highest quality educational programs through a play-based curriculum, allowing independent choices and individual development that educates the whole child. We are a double unit kindergarten, delivering funded Three and Four year old Education to 105 children over five classes per week. The Kindergarten provides a safe and relaxed atmosphere so that the children become confident individuals who develop lifelong learning. The Kindergarten is uniquely situated, being integrated within our Primary School, and we are afforded the opportunities to explore the grounds, kitchen garden and learning spaces to extend and reimagine learning possibilities.

Hours of Work of the Role 30.25
Description As one of our team is retiring, we are currently seeking a confident and enthusiastic Educator to join our friendly and professional team to deliver a high quality, play-based program four days per week. This role is for 30.25 hours per week, 4 days per week Tuesday-Friday, teaching Three and Four year old classes, and is paid according to the VECTEA. Hours of work would be confirmed with the successful applicant but would be similar to the below:
Tuesday 8.00 – 4.45pm
Wednesday 8.30 – 3.37pm
Thursday 8.00 – 4.45pm
Friday 8.30 – 3.38pm
This role is a great opportunity for someone who can build strong relationships with children and their families, work within a Reggio lens and has strong communication and time management skills. The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for working with children and share our focus of making a difference in their development. You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and have the ability to show initiative. This position commences 28th January 2022. Qualifications It is expected that you will hold a Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood, have a current Working With Children assessment as well as being formally qualified to administer First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management.
