About the Centre/Service Wahroonga Pre-School is known as St Helena’s hidden gem. It is an inclusive not-for-profit sessional kinder providing quality 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs. It is set in natural surrounds next to Anthony Beale Reserve in Greensborough. The kindergarten is full of character and life with a large outdoor area that the children love to explore. Our program is play based and utilises a combination of both indoor and outdoor based programs with a focus on supporting and extending the children's interests, confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We are committed to providing a child safe environment and all staff must demonstrate their ongoing responsibility to ensuring child safety. Wahroonga Pre-School was last assessed in 2016 as 'Exceeding the National Quality Standards'. Description

We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator who is passionate about providing high quality education in a community kinder. As a kindergarten educator, you will work cooperatively as part of a team to assist in the provision of a healthy, safe and welcoming environment for the children. You will assist with the program and daily routines including preparation of activities, as guided by the teacher, to ensure a high quality early education and care program that supports the children's learning and development.

This role will be actively involved in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan of the service. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework and the National Quality Framework, Educational and Care Services Laws and Regulations. Experience in a similar position favourable.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS A 12 MTH CONTRACT TO THE END OF 2022

Requirements WWCC
Additional Requirements Proven experience teaching for a neurodiverse cohort with varying needs will be highly regarded.
