About us
Gowrie Victoria is a well-regarded not for profit organisation that provides long day care and kindergarten at six sites across Melbourne. We are currently recruiting for one part time (0.6) (and one full time if you are interested?) Early Childhood Educator to work at our Carlton North service. Carlton North opened in 1939 and is a 76 place service operating three rooms (6 weeks to 5 years) including two integrated kinder programs. Reporting to the Room Leader, you will contribute to the implementation of a high-quality early learning program by demonstrating initiative, completing tasks with minimal supervision and role modelling professional practice reflective of Gowrie Victoria’s purpose, philosophy, and values.About You
- A Cert III or Diploma qualification in ECEC or equivalent
- Knowledge of the NQF and approved learning frameworks
- 12 months work experience in early childhood (preferred) in implementing programs that are inclusive and respond to the interests, strengths and learning needs of individual children
- An ability to articulate your role as an Early Childhood Educator in line with the EYLF Belonging, Being and Becoming
- An ability to work effectively in a team and engage in critical reflection
