About the Centre/Service Murrumbeena House Occasional Care is a small community run non for profit organisation which is unique in providing sessional child care to children aged 18months to four olds. Our centre aims to run a vibrant, safe and nurturing occasional care centre which is in partnership with families who attend, where children can learn through play, develop social skills and group skills. Our centre runs 3 half day sessions per week Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We run during school term and close during the holidays.

Description We are currently looking for an activity assistant to fill in for some casual relief shifts and to be on our casual bank staff list, someone to join our experienced team leader in providing quality child care to children of mixed ages 18 months to 4 years old. Applicants must have a genuine love of working with children, be energetic, enthusiastic and motivated in joining our dynamic team here at Murrumbeena House Occasional Care. You need to be committed to work in partnership with families, educators and the community. Have a caring, reliable, respectful and supportive manner. Professional attitude and ability to work closely well in a small team is essential.
Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR training
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Anaphylaxis Management Training
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Proficient computer skills
  • A sound working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks and National Quality Standards and its application to children’s learning and development
  • Commitment to achieving and maintaining the requirements of the National Quality Standards
