About the Centre/Service St Peters Kindergarten, Brighton About us We are looking for a thought leading Certificate III or Diploma qualified educator with a dedication to early childhood education on a permanent part-time basis. We are a stand alone, not-for-profit community kindergarten in a vibrant centre located in the heart of Brighton. We are well regarded for providing quality education and care for our children, and have a positive and supportive staff culture and environment. With an “Exceeding” rating, we are a 66-place centre working out of one room, catering to children aged 3-5 years old with 2 x 4 year old groups and 1 x 3 year old group, expanding from 22 to 26 children in 2022.

Child Protection We are committed to protecting children and young people from harm. All applicants who work with children and young people will undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment. It is also a requirement that employees complete child protection training upon commencement of employment.
Qualifications About you:
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current Victorian Working with Children Check or VIT
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
  • Previous experience working in an early childhood education setting, however new graduates or those who are still studying are most welcome to apply
  • Seeks to develop strong relationships with families, children, colleagues and the community in an inclusive manner
  • Extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and planning cycle
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and willing to have input into the Quality Improvement Plan
