About the Centre/Service Established in 1978, Wonnai Preschool is a high quality, community-minded kindergarten in Langwarrin. Our preschool is run by a Committee of Management comprised of parent volunteers and is experienced in delivering one three year old group and two government funded four year old groups. As a boutique kindergarten, Wonnai Preschool is able to offer each group of children exclusive access to the centre, allowing them to take full advantage of our excellent facilities and expansive outdoor play area. Wonnai Preschool values play-based learning and provides a caring environment where our educators are able to focus on the unique learning needs of each child. Under the guidance of our professional and friendly teachers, the children are engaged in a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor activities, including stories, drama, dance and movement, puzzles, craft and painting, sports, gardening and so much more. Our families work in partnership with teachers to ensure the kinder year is a positive learning experience that nurtures each child. Wonnai Preschool maintains strong connections with the local community including schools, community service organisations and local businesses.

Description We are looking for a Part-time employee who has a Diploma and meets the following criteria and ability to commence work in January 2022 (Term 1):
  • Current WCCC, First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per Government mandate)
  • Willing to hold themselves to exceeding standards
  • Commitment to continuous learning and additional training
  • Commitment to providing high quality services to our Preschool community
  • Enthusiastic about play-based learning and the importance of early years education
  • Strong focus on Child health and Safety
  • Ability to work in a team and receive feedback
  • To work positively and cooperatively with all staff, children, parents and committee
  • Empathetic, creative, adaptable and patient
Working week break down (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays)
  • 15 hours contact time
  • 3.75 hours non-contact time
  • Paid under VECTEA
