About the Centre/Service Poets Grove Family & Children’s Centre is a highly regarded integrated service in Elwood with kindergarten, long day care and maternal and child health services. Educators are paid in accordance with Professional Childcare Standard employment agreement, offering higher rates of pay and better terms and conditions for employees, such as a wellbeing program, celebrations and recognition. Poets Grove encourages paid professional development and offers a supportive workplace culture. We place a strong importance on valuing teams skills and provide opportunities to support growth. Poets Grove offers a high staff to child ratio, with a maximum of 16 children in each group.
Work Days of the Role 9 day fortnight
Hours of Work of the Role between the hours of 7.15am-6.15pm
Description Do you want to be part of a team where you feel valued and supported to reach your potential?We are seeking an experienced early childhood educator to work collaboratively within our team of early childhood educators to provide high quality early childhood education and care, in line with National Quality Frameworks and Poets Grove’s philosophy.The successful candidate will:
  • Be passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and care
  • Have extensive experience as an Early Childhood Educator across all age groups
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to provide written accurate documentation that supports practice and compliance requirements
  • Have a proven ability to be a reflective practitioner of performance and practice
  • Be committed to ongoing quality improvement
  • Have the ability to maintain positive relationships with all families, offering support and guidance and encouraging participation in the program
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Have the ability to make sound judgement-based decisions regarding the care, education and management of children
  • Demonstrate the ability to cooperatively work with all levels of staff across the centre
  • Be committed to ongoing professional learning and development
