Description The RoleAs a Room Leader, you are responsible for the guidance, support and general supervision of children, staff, and volunteers in the room. You are expected to lead a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance to the service philosophy, policy and procedures, and as per the National Quality Standards (NQS), to provide high quality education and care for all enrolled children. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering inspiring Montessori early learning experiences for the children
  • Developing the Children's Program
  • Ensuring a safe environment is maintained for staff and children
  • Ensuring accurate records are kept in regard to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication
  • Liaising with families
  • Maintaining observations and records of individual children's progress
Qualifications The successful candidate must hold either a Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).

Additional Requirements • Aligned with Montessori Academy Core Values • Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications • Commitment to the holistic development of their class
