About the Centre/Service Beleura Hill Preschool is a non-profit community based sessional kinder operated by a Committee of Management. The preschool is committed to excellence in the provision of educational programs for both 3 and 4 year olds. Families and educators aim to build strong partnerships to effectively manage the preschool and to achieve shared goals for children. Our curriculum at Beleura Hill Preschool is an emergent and play based approach where children’s interests and developmental needs are forefront to our learning program; we also believe that children’s families and the local community should influence the program; most importantly we believe that our program should be fun and offer a safe, warm and nurturing environment where families feel supported and children can thrive. We work in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, which identifies five learning outcomes for children. These outcomes have a broad view of the kind of knowledge and skills all children need for them to become confident and happy through their life.

Description We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our friendly and professional team in delivering a high quality, play based 4-year-old kinder program commencing Term 3 2021. This is a Maternity Leave, team teaching position. New graduates are welcome to apply. Strong, confident communication skills are essential in this role. This part time role will involve 6.75 contact hours on a Friday and 3.5 non-contact hours per week. The position is for the remainder of 2021 (terms 3 & 4) with a possibility of extending into 2022. A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework is important. You must have confidence in sharing the planning to deliver an inspiring and flexible program that encourages the childrens' enthusiam for learning through our play-based programs. The ability to establish a strong rapport with the families, the children and supportive work colleagues makes for a settled and positive group.
Qualifications Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
Requirements VIT Registration
Additional Requirements VIT Registration, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
