Work Days of the Role Mondays and Fridays
Hours of Work of the Role 9.15am - 11.45am plus 3 hours total non-contact
Description We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated kindergarten teacher to work with our three-year-old Wombat Group for a total of 8 hours a week. Please note that this role is initially for Term 4, with a possibility of continuing in 2022. The successful applicant will have:
  • A comprehensive understanding of the VEYLDF, EYLF and NQF (including familiarity with the requirements of the National Regulations)
  • A sound knowledge of early childhood development and education and demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in order to maximise each individual child’s potential
  • The ability to develop effective and positive working relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to plan, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience within a kindergarten environment
  • Sound knowledge of curriculum approaches, how children learn and are guided effectively, relevant to the delivery of a quality educational program
  • Basic computer skills

Qualifications A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent (or an approved Early Childhood Teaching Qualification as published by ACECQA). In accordance with the National Regulations:
  • Current approved first aid qualification
  • Current approved anaphylaxis management training
  • Current approved emergency asthma management training
  • Current VIT registration
  • Mandatory reporting training
  • Right to work in Australia
