Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to support the learning and development of our preschool (4 year old) children.   Over our 35 year history we have engaged and supported thousands of children in the Bendigo region to begin their learning journey and prepare them for primary education. This position plays a key role in ensuring that this legacy continues, all within a supportive and caring environment.  

As the Early Childhood Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and implement a high-quality Preschool program
  • Provide leadership while working as a member of a cooperative team and encourage educators who are involved in the program to contribute to the planning and implementation of the educational program
  • Enjoy a part-time role (16.5 hours) within a team-teaching environment
  • Have access to professional development opportunities
  • Start date 13th July, Term 3
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent, or currently undertaking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Understanding of Child Safe Standards
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Be a team player with excellent time management skills
  • Be efficient in Microsoft Office - 365 is desirable with training available
Employment conditions and salary will be based on qualifications and experience under VECTEA 2016 and will be adjusted to reflect and VECTEA updates.
