Description Your new team BPA Children’s Services (BPA) is a not-for-profit organisation that manages kindergartens and long day care centres in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. We are one of the largest providers of early childhood education and care services in Victoria, delivering quality programs that meet the needs of each child and the wider community. Your new job BPA is seeking a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Teacher to lead the delivery of a high-quality education program at Willis Street Kindergarten, St Albans. The successful candidate will also be required to fill the role of Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor at the service. The position is part-time fixed term (Sept 21-Dec 22), reporting to the centre BPA Early Years Advisor. On a day to day basis you will:
  • Lead and mentor a team of educators, working together to build exceptional practice, and help young children to thrive.
  • Lead and guide the development and implementation of a high-quality developmentally appropriate educational program, based on the practices and principles of the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks, that promotes each child's learning across the five learning outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Law, the National Regulations, and the National Quality Standard.

  • Current VIT registration

Victorian Government Incentives The Victorian Government is providing incentives of $9,000 for qualified early childhood teachers taking up roles at any service offering Three-Year-Old Kindergarten in 2022. Willis Street Kindergarten has been pre-approved for a $9,000 ‘Location Incentive’. The successful candidate will be eligible for up to $9,000 ‘Location Incentive’ from the Victorian Government (conditions apply).  The incentives are designed to support services that cater to a range of families, including those with complex needs, who will benefit considerably from the introduction of funded Three-Year-Old kindergarten.
