Cire is one of the largest NFPs serving the Yarra Ranges' diverse population and recently established itself in the City of Casey.Cire Services provides flexible learning opportunities, education and training and a depth and breadth of community programs and services to help meet the needs of people of all ages. Our core services include:
• Our Community School, a registered independent school, providing upper primary and secondary curriculum to disengaged students in an alternative school environment;
• Cire Early Learning, supporting children's services for long day-care, pre-school programs, occasional care, vacation care and before and after school care;
• Cire Training, our Registered Training Organisation (RTO), offering accredited, pre-accredited, work skills and leisure courses; and
• Our Community Hubs, bringing people together to connect, learn and contribute in their local community through social, educational, recreational and support activities.
Description
About the roleCire Early Learning is looking for an Early Childhood Room Leader to join our Yarra Junction centre. This is a full-time maternity leave contract until March 2023; 38 hours per week, rostered between 6.30am-6.30pm Monday to Friday.Your days will be fun, challenging and varied. Working as part of an established team of educators, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of Educators to ensure full compliance of the service
- Leading the delivery of quality education and care in line with the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework
- Driving pedagogical practices that are aligned to the organisation’s philosophy, values, policies and procedures
- Developing and delivering programs that are enriching and responsive to the individual developmental needs and interests of the children, and which maximise their opportunity to develop to their full potential
- Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with children and working with their families in relation to the care, welfare and development of their children
- Learn and be guided by the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning
- Assisting with development and delivery of the Bush Kinder program
- An ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum)
- Experience in a similar leadership position or have strong aspirations to lead
- An in-depth understanding of program development and behaviour guidance strategies, and can mentor others in this practice
- A passion for educating and creating positive experiences for children
- Be an engaging and effective communicator, both with the children in your care and their families
- You understand your obligations under the Child Safe Standards and are comfortable working within the National Quality and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks
- Currently hold, or are willing to undertake, certifications including a Working with Children Check, National Police Check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management.
