About the Centre/Service
bestchance Child Family Care is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing high quality support to children and families since 1895.
We have over 500 Staff Members and 100 Volunteers delivering a range of educational programs accredited under the Department of Education and Training. These programs include Early Childhood Learning and Development for children under the age of five and Primary Education for children with social/emotional and learning difficulties. These programs are complemented by a range of support services for parents and families such as Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support Services.
bestchance can also support you to upskill to Diploma from Certificate III through our RTO offering and has an Allied Health service that supports early intervention approaches.

Description
bestchance is seeking an experienced Educational Leader to join the passionate and supportive team at our Armstrong Creek East Children’s Centre, a brand new facility, beautifully influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach.
This hybrid position will lead the development of the curriculum and ensure the establishment of clear goals and expectations for teaching and learning. This role will contribute to the development and ongoing implementation of Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
In addition to the Educational Leader responsibilities, using a strength based, family centred approach, this position will assist staff in providing a stimulating, inclusive and developmentally appropriate program for children aged up to 6 years of age
This is a permanent full-time position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 15hrs non-contact time to perform educational leader role duties and 23hrs contact time to perform the Diploma role duties.

- Extensive applied knowledge of the Children’s Services Regulations 2009
- All-encompassing knowledge of The National Quality Framework 2012 and its quality areas
- In-depth and practical understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team and lead positive change and improvements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and an ability to respond to, the various teaching and learning styles of Educators and children
