Alfred Road Kindergarten is a community managed centre, with an intimate environment that is warm, caring and friendly, with a strong focus on family. Our philosophy is to honour the original meaning of ‘kindergarten’: A garden for children where they can learn through play. Our purpose is, “to provide a positive, playful and nurturing environment for our children to learn, have fun and grow.”
We pride ourselves in connecting with children and their families, while facilitating a gentle progression from our 3 year old to 4 year old programs. Description
Our team looks forwarding to welcoming a 4yo educator who loves creating a special space for children to explore, learn and grow; provide open-ended, play-based experiences based on the children’s interests to support individual development; foster a warm and caring environment for all (staff, committee, parents and children); establish a strong team focus. You will be working alongside a passionate group of long serving educators.
You will be able to work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, families, committee and other staff; provide a safe and healthy environment.
Qualifications
The applicants must also meet the following criteria;
- Demonstrate dedication, motivation and commitment to contemporary education
- Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved);
- WWCC or VIT registration, First Aid certificate (including current CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma)
- Has a working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and Regulations, The National Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards and the Victoria Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
