About the Centre/Service Apollo Parkways Preschool is situated in a serene setting in the wildlife corridor and is surrounded by beautiful gumtrees. We are a parent-run, community-based service that provides sessional kindergarten programs for both one 3-year old and two 4-year old groups. There are currently 6 staff employed by our parent volunteer Committee of management. We are an environmentally friendly kindergarten with drought tolerant indigenous gardens, water tanks and vegetable gardens. Children’s interest in indigenous animals and creatures found in our playground are encouraged and supported. Our caring and committed staff are well qualified and work in partnership with families to provide children with a positive and enjoyable Kindergarten experience.

Description An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, passionate qualified/working towards Diploma or Certificate III Early childhood Educator to join the current team at Apollo Parkways Preschool to provide lunch cover for each of our 4 Year Old Kindergarten groups. There is also the opportunity for additional casual hours relieving staff where needed. The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of a high-quality educational program that nurtures the growth and development of children through play. Reporting directly to the Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader and the Committee of Management, we are seeking a person with strong ethics and a proven track record of a collaborative working approach within a team environment. All employees are required to have a current Working with Children Check (WWC), police check and adhere to the Apollo Parkways Preschool Code of Conduct. The ideal candidate will: Have experience working with children of all abilities within Early Childhood Education environments. Demonstrate ability in providing inclusive learning environments for all children from a range of diverse backgrounds. A genuine passion for working with children aged 3 to 6 years. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, committee of management and teaching staff. Participate in and contribute to a collaborative team of educators.
