About the Centre/Service Barry Beckett Children’s Centre (BBCC) is a community not-for-profit early childhood education and care service located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people, near Merri Creek in Coburg. The Centre is named after Councillor Barry Beckett, who championed rights for refugees and local families, creating an important social service in the Coburg area. We wish to acknowledge and reflect the significance of these aspects of our history and existence and instil a shared understanding in the children who play here and the educators who work here. Work Days of the Role Full time, 12 month Maternity leave position

Description The role has the features: 4 year-old integrated kindergarten program for a 12 month maternity leave contract, with the possibility of extension 22 children per day Above ratio Diploma trained educators in your team You will collaborate with children and educators to create a wonderful, thoughtful inclusive program that reflects the BBCC values and go beyond the National and State frameworks. You will work with an experienced leadership and educator team with the support of a dedicated Education Co-ordinator. There are opportunities for on-going Professional Development, and in 2022 we are commencing a year-long engagement with KG Learning. We have two annual professional development days and monthly staff and team (paid at time and-a-half). We are a signatory to the VECA 2021 agreement which mirrors the terms, conditions, and salaries of the VECTEA 2020. Providing paid school holidays and other benefits.
