Description We are looking for an experienced Kindergarten Teacher to work full time in our 4-year old Kindergarten class commencing at the end of Term 2 in June, with a handover from our current kindergarten teacher. This room has a maximum of 21 children per day with the support of two full-time qualified assistant educators. The kindergarten teacher will run the program from 8:00am-1:00pm and have non-teaching time from 1:30-4:00pm each day.  At the end of the year, the 4-year old kindergarten educator team will move down to run our 3-year old kindergarten class in 2022. This position requires a candidate that has had previous experience working as a Kindergarten Teacher. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of this developmental stage, the important skills required to work collaboratively with families in providing the highest quality care to their young children, and the ability to network with external services and local primary schools. We have high expectations regarding the relationships that are formed between the children, families, and our local community. We believe that these collaborative relationships form the basis of a high-quality kindergarten. We aim to provide a service that is an extension of the individual child's home, where families and educators work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
Qualifications - A current VIT Registration - Experience, enthusiasm and a passion for working with children - Minimum 4 year Bachelor of Education (early childhood) - Anaphylaxis, First Aid and Asthma training - Knowledge of the Victorian, National Frameworks and NQS - Knowledge of the Child Safe Standards - Excellent verbal & written English skills
